Welcome to QT FM! These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the ground rules for using our website (qtfm.co.uk) and tuning into our radio streams (the "Service"). By hanging out on our site or locking in your dial to our broadcast, you agree to play by these rules.

We are QT FM, proudly owned and operated by QT FM STUDIOS. Whenever we say "we", "us", or "our" in this document, we mean the brilliant team behind QT FM and QT FM STUDIOS.

1. Tuning In (Use of Our Service)

Personal Use Only

Belt out our tunes in the shower, the car, or the kitchen. Our stream is strictly for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. Capturing, ripping, downloading, or re-broadcasting our stream is a strict no-go.

Playing QT FM in Your Business

We are absolutely buzzing if you want QT FM to be the soundtrack for your shop, pub, salon, or office! However, please remember the legal bit: our broadcast licence covers our right to transmit to you, but it doesn't cover your right to blast that music in a public space.

In the UK, any business playing background music (from any source, including internet radio) must legally hold the correct public performance licences from organisations like PPL and PRS for Music. Ensuring your premises are properly licenced is entirely your responsibility, not ours!

Competitions & Giveaways

We love giving stuff away. When we run competitions on-air or online, they will have their own specific rules attached to them. These general Terms of Service will always apply alongside those specific promotional rules.

2. Playing Nice (User Conduct)

We love our community, and we expect everyone to treat each other with respect. When interacting with our site, player, or getting in touch with the studio, you agree that you will not:

• Use our Service for anything dodgy, unlawful, or fraudulent.
• Send us spam, viruses, or any malicious digital gremlins through our contact forms.
• Be abusive, harassing, or defamatory towards our presenters, staff, or fellow listeners.
• Try to hack, scrape, or disrupt our website, audio players, or streaming servers.

If you break these rules, we reserve the right to pull the plug and restrict your access to QT FM immediately.

3. Our Stuff & The Music (Intellectual Property)

Our Brand

The names "QT FM" and "QT FM STUDIOS", our slick logos, the website design, and all our original text and graphics are the exclusive intellectual property of QT FM STUDIOS. You cannot copy, clone, or distribute our branding without our written permission.

The Music

We broadcast the biggest hits legally under the proper UK broadcast licences. However, you do not own the music. These Terms don't give you any right to copy, sell, or redistribute the tracks you hear. The copyright for the music always remains firmly with the artists, record labels, and publishers.

4. Outbound Links (Third-Party Services)

Sometimes we link out to other websites or pull in external data (like our news feeds and travel updates). We don't control those external sites and hold no responsibility for their content, accuracy, or privacy habits. Clicking third-party links is done at your own risk. This also applies to any other independent stations operating under the QT FM STUDIOS umbrella, as they have their own policies.

5. Tech Gremlins (Technical Disclaimers)

We aim to keep the bangers rolling 24/7, but technology can sometimes throw a wobbly.

• Service Interruptions: Server maintenance, internet outages, and technical faults happen. We will fix them as fast as humanly possible, but we don't guarantee 100% uninterrupted uptime.
• Third-Party Feeds: The news, weather, and sports updates on our dashboard come from external providers. We cannot guarantee they are perfectly accurate in real-time.
• "As Is": Our Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any cast-iron warranties.

6. The Legal Shield (Limitation of Liability)

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, QT FM STUDIOS, its presenters, directors, and partners shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, our website or radio stream.

7. Changing the Rules

We might need to tweak these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the very top of this page. If you keep listening to QT FM after we've changed the rules, it means you accept the new ones.

8. Governing Law

We broadcast from the UK, so these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. If there is ever a dispute, it will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
