1. Welcome to Our Terms

1.1. Welcome to QT FM 80s! By registering for, accessing, or using any part of the Service (defined in section 1.2 below), you are entering into a legally binding contract. That contract is between you and us.

1.2. We are QT FM STUDIOS. We provide access to content via our network of radio stations (including QT FM, QT FM Mix, QT FM Hits, QT FM Gold, and QT FM 80s), channels, social media platforms, websites, and associated applications (together the Platform, and together with our content, the Service).

2. These Terms and Why They Are Important

2.1. These terms and conditions govern your relationship with us when you register for, access, and/or use the Service. They contain important information about your rights and obligations.

2.2. By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree that you have understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access any part of the Service.

2.3. We may amend these Terms from time to time to ensure we remain compliant with relevant laws or to reflect changes in our business operations. Please check this page regularly to take notice of any changes.

3. Accessing the Service

3.1. Personal Use Only: Our stream is strictly for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. Capturing, ripping, downloading, or re-broadcasting our stream is strictly prohibited.

3.2. Playing QT FM 80s in Your Business: We are absolutely thrilled if you want our stations to be the soundtrack for your shop, pub, or office. However, our broadcast licence covers our right to transmit to you; it does not cover your right to play that music in a public space. In the UK, any business playing background music must legally hold the correct public performance licences from organisations like PPL and PRS for Music. Ensuring your premises are properly licensed is entirely your responsibility.

4. Acceptable Use Restrictions

You may use/access the Service for lawful and permitted purposes only. You agree that you will not (and you will not allow any other person to):

• Access, use, share, or otherwise exploit the Service or any content for any commercial, business, or monetised purpose.
• Reproduce, duplicate, publish, copy, share, or re-sell any part of the Service.
• Extract any data or metadata from any Content or the Service (including by means of "scraping").
• Use any content, data, or information from the Services for any machine learning or artificial intelligence (AI) purposes, including developing, training, or fine-tuning any large language models (LLMs) or generative AI systems.
• Use the Service in any way that is unlawful, improper, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, or abusive.
• Transmit any data or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, or any other harmful programs designed to adversely affect the operation of the Service.
• Alter, delete, or conceal any copyright, trademark, or other notices contained within our content or Service.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1. The Service and all materials available via the Service (including the text, graphics, logos, images, audio, music, and databases) are owned and controlled by or licensed to us. You have no rights in the Service Content other than the right to access it strictly in accordance with these Terms.

5.2. We broadcast the biggest 80s hits legally under the proper UK broadcast licences. You do not own the music. These Terms do not give you any right to copy, sell, or redistribute the tracks you hear. Copyright for the music remains with the artists, record labels, and publishers.

6. Our Responsibility to You

6.1. We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

6.2. Except as set out above, we will not be responsible for any damage or loss caused to you where such damage or loss results from an event outside our reasonable control (e.g., weather conditions, internet outages, server faults) or is caused by your breach of these Terms.

6.3. We do not guarantee that your use of the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. The news, weather, and sports updates on our dashboard are provided by third-party feeds, and we cannot guarantee their real-time accuracy.

7. Governing Law

We broadcast from the UK, so these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. If there is ever a dispute, it will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
